The SSA Dashboard (Sustainable Settlement Assessment Tool) is a platform that collects data on issues and needs at the community settlement level. Open information and systematic analysis help attract resources for implementing projects aimed at the recovery and development of village, settlement, and city councils.
The unique questionnaire consists of eight sections: a general description of the settlement, demographic and security indicators, logistics, urban and social infrastructure, recovery, and civil protection. Data verification is carried out through communication and collaboration with local authorities and territorial community administrations.
SSA is a user-friendly analytical tool that enables:
-quick processing of large volumes of data;
-identification of critical issues;
-informed decision-making for development.
Using the SSA Dashboard significantly accelerates the process of recovery and development in communities.
Access to the dashboard is available after registering on the website
Zaporizhzhia hosted the monthly Subnational Food Security and Livelihoods Cluster meeting, bringing together 28 participants.
The session included regional updates and presentations on initiatives supporting community economic resilience. NGO “Ukrprostir” showcased its FORSAZH project focused on women's entrepreneurship. Special attention was given to U&We Hub: Zaporizhzhia — a community empowering women to grow and scale their businesses.
Key partners — including the Red Cross Society, Smile UA Foundation, the Fund for Prospective Development, and WFP — shared current projects and collaboration opportunities.
Now, the functionality allows you to easily switch between the main fields 'Medical facilities' and 'Needs coverage'. By selecting the desired field, you can see the situation at the level of settlements in the communities of Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions.
The search for settlements takes place in the following categories, region-community-settlement, with a mandatory display of the occupied territories. This data is updated daily, based on information from the interactive map of hostilities in Ukraine DeepState.
Also, the updated basic needs map allows you to see the degree of coverage for one of the selected options, or for all options together.
These are
• Products;
• Hygiene;
• Medicine;
• Additional needs.
In addition, you have the opportunity to filter settlements, based on their distance from the front line: up to 30 kilometers, from 30 to 70 kilometers, and territories that were not occupied.
The map allows you to set the coverage interval that interests you. If according to the criteria you have chosen no item is displayed, then there are no settlements with the specified parameters.
It is important that thanks to the new features, you can see all medical facilities in each settlement starting from rural areas to regional centers.
In addition, all operating offices of the CO Relief Coordination Centre are marked on the map, as well as civil society spaces and transit evacuation centers of the Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions. Here you will find the necessary contacts of responsible persons for interaction.
BRIDGE — a new digital platform for enhancing cooperation between local organizations, international partners, and donors — has been introduced in Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Kramatorsk.
Designed to streamline access to resources and improve coordination, BRIDGE is more than a database — it's a space for real solutions and meaningful impact in the humanitarian sector.
Organizations not yet connected are encouraged to register via the website and unlock new opportunities for project growth and funding.
Volunteering plays a crucial role in the implementation of humanitarian initiatives.
However, while performing their duties, volunteers often find themselves in situations that may pose a threat to their health and lives.
Over the past year, with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation of the Swiss Embassy in Ukraine, we were able to insure 2,550 volunteers from over 110 charitable and public organizations in the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. During this period, more than 38 insurance cases were recorded, with the total amount of payments exceeding UAH 990,300.00.
These data emphasize the importance of insurance to ensure the safety of volunteers during their activities.
This year, the CO RCC, with the support of partners, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine, and the CO CF Team4UA (with the financial support of the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund (UHF)) continue to implement the volunteer insurance project.
