Dear Volunteers!
Atlas Logistique (AL) is an operational unit of the international non-governmental organization Handicap International - Humanity & Inclusion (HI).
The division specializes in aid delivery, supporting organizations and the humanitarian system.In Ukraine, HI/AL provides free storage and transportation services to humanitarian organizations (both national and international) through its shared transportation and warehousing platforms.At the heart of HI/AL's response is the rapid, safe and effective delivery of humanitarian assistance to the most hard-to-reach populations. This includes delivering aid to areas very close to the front lines and providing storage facilities in developed areas.nHI/AL also provides free transportation services to its partners to support their activities.
Relying on a pool of national carriers, HI/AL rents trucks to transport humanitarian supplies to hard-to-reach areas where the humanitarian situation is most critical.To apply for the program or to clarify any questions, please contact Atlas Logistique's Program Coordinator, Solene Weselink, at ns.waeselynck@hi.org
Dear friends and partners! We are very pleased to inform you that our center is now operating in Zaporizhzhia! Using the tools that we have already successfully implemented in Kharkiv region, we are in the process of setting up the same system in Zaporizhzhia, and if your organization also operates in Zaporizhzhia region, we will be glad to cooperate.
During two weeks of work in Zaporizhzhia, we
- established contacts with community leaders and began to collect their needs;
• engaged 128 local and international charitable organizations in cooperation, exchange of information and experience for mutual coordination;
• Developed a map of humanitarian aid in the region and a register for charitable foundations to help organizations allocate their resources more efficiently and avoid duplication;
• developed a map of shelters and forms with the needs of the ICC;
• met with organizations in Zaporizhzhia that have been or are working on evacuation and learned about their resources. We discussed the format of coordination;
• calculated the potential number of people willing to evacuate and the resources of charitable organizations needed for this. Separately, we conducted a SWOT analysis of people with limited mobility and the necessary resources;
• developed proposals for the travel process for government officials based on Kharkiv experience.
• instructors from the Center for Tactical Medicine "East" https://instagram.com/tac_med.uaigshid=YmM0MjE2YWMzOA== conducted events for representatives of 4 frontline communities.
We also thank Zaporizhzhia Platform for Joint Action https://platformazp.com.ua/ for helping us to
The Public Development Centre was opened in Kharkiv. An important event for the city, for society and for the restoration of the Kharkiv region. It was the volunteers and NGOs who stepped in and helped evacuate people, provided humanitarian aid to people in the city and region after the start of the full-scale invasion. And the community of IDPs, which filled the city, the region, became a new force for the development and reconstruction of our country. The Centre plans to train volunteers, active citizens, including representatives of IDPs, representatives of charitable foundations, public organizations, in many directions.
The purpose of the event was to present the RCC's activities on the example of Kharkiv Oblast and to develop joint plans for 2023 (best practices and work planning).
Participants: representatives of the RCC, representatives of the "SAVEPEACE.IN.U" Charitable Foundation, specialised humanitarian deputies of the Military Administrations (Kharkiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Donetsk, Luhansk regions).
The event was organised by the NGO "Agency of Effective Solutions" with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
This event is a step towards optimising resources and accelerating the provision of support to civilians in terms of evacuation, humanitarian assistance, food needs and coping with the consequences of the war.
