Due to the complication of the operational situation in the northern part of the Sumy region, there is an urgent need to evacuate residents of the Myropilska, Krasnopilska, Khotinska communities.
Evacuation from these settlements can only be carried out by specially trained crews with the necessary equipment, including armored vehicles.
As a result, in coordination with the Sumy Regional
Military Administration, the Sumy District Military Administration, and the National Police, organizations that are part of the "STEEL" consortium joined the evacuation missions in the Sumy region:
CO Relief Coordination Centre;
CO CF Unity and Strength;
CO CF HAYSTOV;
NGO Free Movement Kharkiv;
CO CF The Way of Ukraine.
Currently, members of the "STEEL" consortium have evacuated more than 60 people from settlements facing a critical operational situation and lack of communication using armored transport.
During the event, participants discussed key aspects of mine action, including:
-Implementation of humanitarian demining activities and clearance of de-occupied territories of Ukraine from mines and explosive remnants of war;
-The status of implementation of the operational plan of the National Mine Action Strategy for 2024-2026, with a view to 2033;
-Development of commercial humanitarian demining, market formation, and the use of modern technologies;
-Creation of a technology bank in the field of demining and an ecosystem of testing grounds for new developments;
-Formation of a training and testing complex based on the Centre of Excellence for Mine Action and Environmental Safety under the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
The SSA Dashboard (Sustainable Settlement Assessment Tool) is a platform that collects data on issues and needs at the community settlement level. Open information and systematic analysis help attract resources for implementing projects aimed at the recovery and development of village, settlement, and city councils.
The unique questionnaire consists of eight sections: a general description of the settlement, demographic and security indicators, logistics, urban and social infrastructure, recovery, and civil protection. Data verification is carried out through communication and collaboration with local authorities and territorial community administrations.
SSA is a user-friendly analytical tool that enables:
-quick processing of large volumes of data;
-identification of critical issues;
-informed decision-making for development.
Using the SSA Dashboard significantly accelerates the process of recovery and development in communities.
Access to the dashboard is available after registering on the website.
The Relief Coordination Centre, in cooperation with the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, representatives of the National Police, and local self-government bodies, continues to coordinate evacuation measures.
From the beginning of 2025 to April 1st, 2512 people have registered at the transit centre in the city of Kharkiv. People arrive here daily from the Kupiansk district and the Borova community of the Izium district.
Due to the deteriorating security situation in the Donetsk region and the complication of logistical routes, many evacuees from the Donetsk region are now also heading to Kharkiv.
Thanks to the coordinated joint efforts of state and non-governmental organizations, all evacuees are provided with medical and humanitarian aid, including non-food items, psychological support, legal consultations, and financial assistance.
Sixteen organizations operate at the transit centre, each responsible for a specific area. We sincerely thank everyone who continues to work towards a common goal. Helping evacuees is the manifestation of humanity.
